Aquatics Director

Responsible for all areas of the aquatics program for campers and staff including safety, instruction in swimming and boating, and special events. The Aquatics Director is also responsible for supervising the lakefront Instructors/Lifeguards. Must be at least 21 years of age.

 

Aquatics Instructor/Lifeguards

Responsible for the implementation of all phases of the aquatics program for campers and staff including safety, instruction in swimming and boating and maintenance of the lakefront facility. Aquatic Instructors must be at least 18 years of age. Possession of current Red Cross Lifeguard training or YMCA Lifeguard training certificates a plus.

 

Climbing and Ropes course Director

Responsible for providing Climbing Tower program for campers and staff including instruction, safety for participants, equipment maintenance and storage and training assistants. The Climbing Tower director must be at least 21 years of age.

 

Riding Director

Responsible for the development and implementation of the camp horseback riding program including planning and teaching age appropriate lessons in western style riding, safety of all participants, supervision of equestrian staff, care of horses, and participation in special camp programs. Equestrian Director must be at least 21 years of age.

 

Riding Instructors

Responsible for assisting the Riding Director with the implementation of the equestrian program with the focus on western style riding and the care and feeding of the horses. Must be at least 18 years of age.

 

Health Director

Responsible for the health and safety of all staff, volunteers and campers. Responsible for administering first aid as needed and the supervision of handling out medications as authorized by the camp health manual and camper health form. Must be at least 25 years of age.

 

Counselors

Senior Counselor
Responsible for supervision, guidance, leadership, health and safety of a group of campers. Counselors live with the campers and plan and participate in all activities with their group. Also responsible for supervising a Junior Counselor and/or Counselor in Training (CIT). Senior counselors must be at least 18 years of age.

Junior Counselor
Assist the Senior Counselor in day-to-day camp program implementation and supervision of campers. Junior Counselors must be at least 17 years of age.

 

Tripping Counselor

Responsible for supervision, guidance, leadership, health and safety of a group of campers. Also responsible for facilitating an off camp tripping expedition. Must have experience in high adventure programming: tripping, backpacking, canoeing, etc. Must be at least 21 years of age.

 

Fleet Dock Instructor

Responsible for planning and implementing a sailing and small craft program for campers and staff including safety, instruction in sailing and boating and maintenance of small craft and lakefront facility. Must have previous experience in sailing; crewing, helmsmanship, and boat safety. Small Craft Instructor must be at least 18 years of age. Possesion of a Red Cross Small Craft Saftey Certificate a plus.
 

Unit Directors

Responsible for supervising a group of 10-20 counselors, providing them guidance, support, and resources as needed. Provide effective interventions with cabin groups and individual campers to resolve issues and concerns. Must be at least 21 years of age.
